“Isn’t it weird how there’s always a song that expresses my feelings.”

So many times certain songs have been like lifelines for me, they’ve reached out to me in my time of need, whenever I’ve been up against it, alienated or alone and have helped to inspire me to keep on fighting another day.

Having experienced first hand how powerful and life altering music can be, I have made it my life’s mission to try and write songs that could reach out to others, in the same way that so many songs have done for me, and provide some form of comfort, healing or positive inspiration.

Whenever times have been hard in my life and true friends have been hard to find, I have always been able to find certain songs that have been a tremendous comfort and have helped me through. I believe that music can be a great source of empathy. Certainly for me, it has reached out and enabled me to feel less alone. I have frequently found salvation in the lyrics of great songs with real meaning behind them. It’s music like that which continues to be my one consistent lifelong friend, my saving grace. I just want to try and write music that might go some way to being there for others like so many songs have been for me.

Some songwriters, through their lyrics, offer you a window into their soul, allowing you to truly connect and identify in a way that you sometimes can’t even achieve with your closest friends. Personally, for me, it’s really only music that has kept me from feeling less like an alien in this world.

It’s magical to me how music can unite and connect people in such a deep and profound way. Certain lyrics can make you feel like you’re not alone in the way that you feel and let you know that there’s someone else out there who understands. It’s very healing and comforting and it’s that aspect, of being able to truly reach others through music, which remains the driving motivation behind why writing songs is my absolute passion.

Kashy Keegan hales from Brighton in the UK. This talented singer songwriter has put together his 17 track album called Looking In. It is superbly arranged with songs written from the heart. Kashy uses his life experiences, hopes, dreams and encouraging advice to bring us this spectacular wealth of music.

Kashy uses those gifts as a fine lyricist to draw us deep into each song. He has a beautiful vocal range that will take you to another place without packing your bag.

Kashy Keegan’s “Looking In” album is a ballad driven masterpiece. He has a smooth, sexy vocal style. His message is clear through out this album. It is a positive message filled with advice to keep going. Don’t give up, be proud and be true to yourself. Brilliant lyrics for difficult times. Orchestration and instrumentation are exceptional, giving each track a smooth flow. He has also included 3 bonus tracks for us, most generous indeed. Keep your eye on this man, he has many more stories to tell.

The 3 tracks I have singled out are:

1 – Believe in you

Kashy sings this direct from his soul. His vocals are incredibly well done. He makes you think he is singing to you and you alone. Beautiful job Kashy!

2 – Proud Of Who You Are:

This is a gorgeous song. Kashy Keegan’s lyrics are spectacular. Once again orchestration is wonderful and Kashy’s strong vocal makes this song a huge winner. I love the positive message.

3 – Unsung Heroes

I loved this track. It is a song for all those heroes out there we meet everyday. Really beautiful lyrics and instrumentation. This song could be an anthem.

Honorable Mention :

Free Your Mind the Bonus Track

This shows Kashy’s ability to step it up a notch and have us chair dancing as we listen. Excellent!

If you have not heard “Looking In”, in its entirety as yet, your in for a treat. Make sure you are in a mellow mind set as this is not for dancing feet. Rather each gorgeous track with sooth your soul and give you strength to move about your day. Well done Kashy Keegan!! “Looking In” is exceptional!

http://youtu.be/sakThCx4S3I

And That’s just how I see it
